League Bylaws and Binding Contract – Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League (BCCSL)
The player completing and submitting the electronic player form agrees that “Said Player” will be a member of the Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League (BCCSL) from June 9, 2026 – July 31, 2026. This agreement constitutes a binding contract between the Player and Baseball Census LLC (the “Company” or “League”).
Terms of the BCCSL Contract
Upon execution of this contract, the Player agrees to the following terms and conditions.
- Contract / Exclusivity
Player agrees to play exclusively for the Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League (BCCSL) for the full duration of the summer season (June 9, 2026 – July 31, 2026). Player shall not participate in any other amateur or collegiate summer baseball league during this period without prior written release from the League Commissioner. Players must make prior arrangements in advance when absent from scheduled BCCSL game play. - Payment
Player agrees to pay the BCCSL deposit within 48 hours of contract completion. This deposit is applied toward field costs, uniforms, officials, and baseballs. Player also agrees to pay the full balance before June 10, 2026. Failure to pay the full amount by the deadline will result in immediate contract termination and forfeiture of the deposited funds. Players are responsible for returning their jersey prior to the conclusion of the season. Failure to return the jersey will result in a $40 reimbursement charge. - Player Conduct
Player assumes full responsibility for their conduct upon arrival at any game, practice, or league-related location. Any actions deemed inappropriate—including but not limited to foul language, altercations with players, coaches, umpires, or fans, or the use of drugs or alcohol before, during, or after games—are subject to review by League Officials. Disciplinary actions may include suspension or removal from the league.
In the event of an ejection, the umpire will submit a written report to the League office. League Officials will review the report and determine appropriate action. During any suspension, the player is prohibited from participating in BCCSL league games but may be eligible for non-league games at the League’s discretion. Removal from the BCCSL will result in forfeiture of all fees paid and the requirement to return all equipment and the jersey. - Refund Policy
Refunds will be determined on an individualized basis at the sole discretion of the League. Quitting the team or league does not automatically qualify a player for a refund. The initial deposit is non-refundable. - Release from Contract
Players may be released from this contract due to lack of effort, poor attitude, conduct issues, or insufficient skill level, as determined by the League Commissioner. - Liability, Indemnification, and Personal Injury
Player assumes all risk and liability associated with participating in any and all activities related to the Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League, including but not limited to traveling to and from practices, games, or events, participating in any practice, game, or event, and the use of equipment or facilities.
Player hereby waives, releases, and forever discharges Baseball Census LLC, its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, umpires, field managers, coaches, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any personal injury, property damage, or death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
Indemnification: Player agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Baseball Census LLC and its affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or resulting from Player’s participation, conduct, negligence, or breach of this agreement.
Player confirms they maintain their own primary health and accident insurance and will provide policy information upon request. Any league-provided insurance, if any, shall be secondary and excess only. - Publicity Rights and Image/Likeness Grant
Player irrevocably grants Baseball Census LLC and its affiliates (including SynkerAi) a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use Player’s name, image, likeness, voice, biographical information, statistics, game footage, and photographs for any purpose related to the League, including marketing, promotion, website content, social media, recruiting materials, scouting reports, and app features. This grant survives termination of this contract. - Intellectual Property
All game footage, statistics, highlight reels, photographs, and other content created in connection with BCCSL games and activities are the exclusive property of Baseball Census LLC. Player shall not use, reproduce, or distribute any League intellectual property (including logos, marks, or footage) without prior written consent. - Data Privacy and Consent
Player consents to the collection, storage, and sharing of their performance data, statistics, videos, contact information, and scouting reports with colleges, universities, MLB organizations, scouts, and the SynkerAi platform for recruiting and player development purposes. Player acknowledges that this data sharing is a core function of the League. - Non-Disparagement
Player agrees not to make, publish, or communicate any disparaging or defamatory statements (including on social media) regarding the League, its teams, umpires, staff, owners, or affiliates. - Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this contract shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, in accordance with the rules of JAMS. The League reserves the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. Player waives any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action. - Commissioner Authority and Operational Rules
The League Commissioner (or designated owner representative) has final authority over all matters of League operations, including but not limited to scheduling, game rules, protests, discipline, and interpretation of these bylaws. Published schedules and operational rules (including the official master schedule) are subject to change by the field manager or Commissioner as necessary. Players agree to abide by all published rules and decisions of the League. - Force Majeure
The League shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to weather, facility issues, acts of God, pandemics, or government actions. No refunds shall be provided in such cases. - Entire Agreement and Severability
This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Acknowledgment
By submitting this form, the Player confirms they have read, understood, and agree to all terms of this League Bylaws and Binding Contract.
